Real Life Michael Peterson Thinks Colin Firth Is 'Dull As Dirt'

The real-life Michael Peterson is not a fan of HBO Max’s The Staircase, which was adapted from the original docu-series into a televised series by Antonio Campos and Maggie Cohn.

If you don’t know, in the early 2000s, Peterson was accused of killing his wife Kathleen and was eventually convicted of the crime. However, he was eventually granted a retrial and ended up entering an Alford plea. An Alford plea “is a type of plea agreement where a criminal defendant pleads guilty to an offense but at the same maintains his or her innocence. By using this type of plea, the defendant acknowledges that there is enough evidence to potentially convict and that the plea will help minimize any criminal penalties.”
