An invitation Gwyneth Paltrow allegedly sent out is making the rounds on social media.
In a recent Puck newsletter, Matthew Belloni reported that the 53-year-old actress/businesswoman will be hosting a private “off-the-record” dinner party for at her home in the Hamptons for billionaire and OpenAI CEO Sam Altman.
“Invites are going out this week for a ‘private, off-the-record al fresco dinner at her home in honor of Sam Altman,’” Belloni wrote, while sharing a graphic that appeared to be a formal invitation sent out by Gwyneth.
The alleged invitation quickly went viral on social media and users criticized the Oscar-winning actress, with some calling her “a villain” and “tone-deaf.”

Then on Thursday (August 20), Gwyneth responded by poking some fun at the situation by changing up the invitation.
On Instagram, Gwyneth shared five different replicas of the invitation, and wrote that she is having a “private, off-the-record al fresco dinner” for “M3GAN,” “Samantha Jones,” “SHREK,” “Jessica Rabbit” and “Chanty Beluga.”
If you were unaware, “Chanty Beluga” is a character created by comedian Courtney O’Donnell who has gone viral in recent weeks.
In the caption of the edited invitations, Gwyneth wrote, “We’re serving swordfish burritos, cheddar foam lattes on request.”
As of right now, it’s still unclear if Gwyneth is actually hosting a dinner party for the OpenAI CEO, or if that invitation has been fake this entire time.
During a recent interview with another AI figure, Gwyneth opened up about her political beliefs.
