Jeff Kober is addressing the possibility of returning to General Hospital!

The 72-year-old actor made his debut on the ABC soap opera in 2020 and villain Cyrus Renault. He appeared on the show on and off for five years until his character was killed off. He won a Daytime Emmy award for his Supporting Performance in 2022. He was also nominated back in 2021 and his nominated again this year for Outingstanding Guest Performance in a Daytime Drama Series

He last appeared on the show in December 2025 in a dream sequence with Genie Francis‘ Laura Spencer.

In a new interview with People, Jeff revealed that he would return to General Hospital only if he could work with Genie, 64, again.

“I love to work and I would do anything with Genie,” he shared. “She’s a great actress and a great scene partner. She’s someone who’ll go anywhere you want to go with them.”

He continued, “So, if they bring me back and let me work with her, I wouldn’t mind making the drive over to Prospect Studios.”

Along with his Daytime Emmy nomination for General Hospital, Jeff also received a Primetime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series for his role as mechanic Duke Ekins in The Pitt season two.

The two nominations led Jeff to making history as the only actor to be nominated for a Primetime and Daytime Emmy in the same year.
