Australian windsurfer takes on giant waves in Portugal – Daily Mail

Australian windsurfer Jason Polakow, 44, rode a 42ft wave at Praia do Norte, in Nazaré, Portugal, one of the most westerly points of Europe. He had been preparing for two years. ‘The waves are coming from many different angles at the same time, making it extremely difficult to judge and be safe,’ he said. ‘Chasing huge waves is my passion, so after seeing amazing images from big wave surfers, I just had to try.’
