For a while there, it looked as though there was good reason for Duggar fans to be very concerned.
After all, the tenth season of Counting On aired its final episodes in late 2019, and then … crickets.
Several months passed with no indication that the show had been picked up for an eleventh season.
But now, The Blast and other outlets are reporting that the Duggars appear to have begun filming.
Are new episodes of their TLC reality show in the works after all?
Moreover, it appears Jinger Duggar temporarily returned to her childhood home in Arkansas for the occasion.
As you’re probably aware, Jinger lives in Los Angeles these days.
Her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, is attending divinity school there, and her new L.A. lifestyle has been the topic of endless conversation. But not this week.
The Duggars haven’t announced that they’re back to filming but they piqued fans’ interest with the photo below, which was posted to the family’s official Instagram page on Monday.
“#Sisters There were never such devoted sisters!” reads the caption on the photo.
Fans were thrilled by news of the reunion, especially since it was reportedly documented by a TLC camera crew.
Jinger’s return will likely be featured in the upcoming season premiere, and you can bet that the storyline will focus on the various ways in which Jinger has changed since joining the coastal elite.
“I love that Jinger seems to have her own style that is different from her sisters,” one follower commented on the photo.
Of course, the more things change the more they stay the same.
Jinger still enjoys making a Target run with her many sisters.
We assumed the Duggars were a Wal-Mart family – what with the tremendous pride they take in being from Northwest Arkansas.
But it’s possible they’re still bitter over the fact that Derick Dillard is unemployed after starting his career as a Wal-Mart accountant.
We kid, obviously.
We know Derick is persona non grata these days when it comes to his in-laws, but Jill is still family, after all.
Anyway, there’s no word yet on whether or not Jill and her husband will return to Counting On for Season 11.
But either way, Jill was certainly happy to take part in the family reunion and subsequent shopping spree.
Jill posted the above photo, and it’s clear she’s making the most of her time with her sisters.
She captioned the picture:
“Loved getting to have some sister time this weekend with @jingervuolo and felicity visiting from #cali.”
It’s unclear what the future holds for the Duggars and the offshoot of the show that made them famous.
But for now, it seems fans can look forward to at least one more season of family hijinks on TLC.

Just last week, rumors that Counting On had been canceled were circulating virtually non-stop on social media.
The Duggars kept quiet and kept the faith – and now it looks as though their fans’ patience has been rewarded.
