LIVE: Frieda and her kittens!

PLEASE NOTE: Everything you see on this livestream is done for a reason, and is done in the best interest of the cats and kittens. This includes nest size, Mercy, etc. If you have concerns, please either ask a moderator in chat, or check back frequently so you can see living proof that moms and kittens are continuing to thrive. Working with feral/colony cats means things might look different than what you are used to seeing, but we do monitor 24/7 and are confident in our methods. Thank you for caring!

MAY 10, 2020: We were wrong! Grace wasn’t the last Peanut out there! Our awesome Peanuts colony caretaker discovered three 3-day-old kittens in her shed, and our awesome Gwen raced out to trap mama and kittens. Grace and the new mama, Frieda, clearly know each other, and it is adorable.

MAY 4, 2020: Mercy was hit by a car at just 5 months old, and is recovering from a broken jaw. She and Grace were roommates before Grace gave birth, and have been reunited now that kittens are born. We are still working on building Mercy’s confidence, and Grace seems to sense Mercy needs a little extra love.

APR 21, 2020: Grace gave birth to four beautiful little panther kittens! Mom and babies are all healthy and doing great so far.

APR 9, 2020: Grace is the last of the mama cats from our “Peanuts” feral colony! She’s due to give birth for the last time any time now, in a safe environment where she and her kittens will receive all the love and care they need.

Grace’s story is all too familiar. Thankfully, this time she won’t have to go hunt for food and protect her babies from predators. She and her kittens will be spayed/neutered and adopted into loving homes.

If we hadn’t been able to trap her, she would have gotten pregnant over and over again until her body gave out. She would have watched 75% of her babies die from disease, predators, injury or starvation.

We broadcast the stories of our rescued cats, live and uncensored, to raise awareness about the realities of cat overpopulation and inspire compassion.

Fortunately, it’s easy to help cats like Grace, and prevent so much suffering! Become advocates for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), spaying and neutering… and COMPASSION. Each cat has a story to tell, each life matters, and the more we tell their stories, the more compassion we will generate.

P.S. We have trapped 81 cats from Grace’s feral colony. 80 have been spayed/neutered, and Grace will be our 81st. 65 have been socialized and adopted into loving homes, and the rest have been returned to the feral lives they love. The new caregiver loves the remaining cats, feeds them twice a day and is helping us trap any remaining cats still in need of TNR.
