Full House alum Mary-Kate Olsen was extremely worried about where she would live after her estranged husband, Olivier Sarkozy, decided not renew the lease on their Gramercy apartment without telling her. But now, it looks like she has found a luxurious summer rental in the Hamptons.
According to Page Six, Olsen is headed to a luxurious $325,000 Hamptons rental after her split from Sarkozy. Olsen attempted to start her divorce proceedings from Sarkozy on April 17 when she filed an application for a Summons and Complaint.

Currently, New York courts are not accepting divorce filings amid the COVID-19 pandemic unless it’s an emergency. This led to Olsen requesting an emergency order to file for divorce on May 13 because Sarkozy didn’t renew their lease at the Gramercy apartment and she was afraid of losing her personal property. The Elizabeth and James designer also had concerns about looking for a new place to live during a pandemic.
In her emergency petition, Olsen wanted to continue to use the Hampton’s home she shares with Zarkosy, as well as their Gramercy apartment and a property on East 49th Street in Manhattan.
“My husband expects me to move out of our home on [May 18] in the middle of New York City being on pause due to COVID-19,” wrote Olsen.

However, a judge denied Olsen’s emergency request, saying that it was not an essential matter. This means that the former child star will have to wait until the courts open back up after the COVID-19 pandemic passes to continue with the divorce.
Insiders say that Olsen and Sarkozy had numerous problems in their relationship, but the main reason for their split is that they couldn’t agree about having children.
“A few years ago, having a baby was not a priority for her. This has changed,” claims an insider. “Olivier has two grown kids and doesn’t want more. Mary-Kate thought he would budge on that and he hasn’t.”
Another issue between the fashion mogul and the banker was that Sarkozy is a “party boy and a big spender,” and is someone who “loves the high life.” However, Olsen is much more reclusive and prefers to be “quiet and alone.”
The insider says that Olsen is not that interested in socializing, and prefers small gatherings with select people. The source claims that Olivier Sarkozy and Mary-Kate Olsen’s differences led to them being apart “quite a bit.”
