Beyonce and Jay Z are known for their musical surprises and their recent album, Everything Is Love, was no different. The lovebirds dropped said album on a casual Saturday afternoon, driving us into an internet frenzy while simultaneously gifting us with Instagram captions to last through the summer. As an added bonus, The Carters released a mind-blowing visual masterpiece at the Louvre Museum for their hit single, Ape***. The video, although artistically and atheistically pleasing, goes from Mona Lisa to Ape*** in record time. Quite literally. They also racked up 8 VMA nominations for the iconic music video.
Now, the Louvre Museum is actually offering a tour through the exhibits featured in The Carters’ music video. The guided tour is referred to as the “Visitor Trail: JAY-Z and Beyoncé at the Louvre” and is an hour and thirty minutes in length.
The tour allows you to see the iconic works of art from The Carters music video “Apesh*t” starting with the “Winged Victory of Samothrace” and ending with the “Portrait of a Black Woman” by Marie-Guillemine Benoist.
