Ronnie Ortiz-Magro: Out of Jersey Shore, Soon To Be in Jail?

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro is no longer in denial.

The veteran Jersey Shore star, who has been arrested multiple times for domestic violence and who has continually threatened others on social media over the past couple years, is finally admitting that he has a problem.

And the problem will be taking him away from the franchise that made him famous for an undetermined period of time.

“After talking to the team at MTV, we have mutually agreed that I will step away from the show while I seek medical treatment for mental health issues that I’ve ignored for too long,” Ronnie wrote on Instagram late Thursday.

“My number one goal now is facing my struggles head on.

“This process will be difficult, but my #1 priority is to get healthy and be the best man and best father I can for my daughter.”

MTV recently announced that Jersey Shore would return with new episodes next month, although many observers noticed Ronnie was absent from the first trailer.

Earlier this week, Ronnie also hinted that he had a mental illness, coming across as more vulnerable than ever before in a heartfelt Instagram post.

“It’s okay to feel unstable,” read the message.

“It’s okay to disassociate. It’s okay to hide from the world. It’s okay to need help. It’s okay to not be okay.

“Your mental illness is not a personal failure.”

Ronnie’s attorneys, meanwhile, confirmed Ronnie’s immediate future plans this evening, telling Us Weekly in a statement:

“He is currently seeking medical treatment for psychological issues that he has ignored for a long time.

“His only present goal is to address these issues professionally and make himself [a] better person and the best father he can be to his loving daughter.”

As for his future as a free man?

Ronnie was arrested in April after some kind of confrontation with girlfriend Saffire Matos.

According to TMZ, Matos called 911 and had bruises on her body when police arrived on the scene.

Shortly after Magro-Ortiz was taken into custody, however, Matos defended her boyfriend online.

She said the couple was just fine and asked people to both leave them alone and also to ignore things they read in the media.

Aside from getting arrested, though, Ronnie seemingly lost his $hit online, trash talking ex-girlfriend Jen Harley and her new lover.

He even threatened to run this lover over with a car.

Far too often, far too many times… Ronnie comes across as a very unstable individual.

TMZ now reports, however, that Ronnie will not be charged with either a felony or a misdemeanor for his alleged assault this spring.

And yet:

The City Attorney’s Office may very well move to violate Ronnie’s probation, as he remains under penalty for his October 2019 arrest for domestic violence.

A hearing is set for some time in June and if it is determined that Ronnie did violate his probation via this new arrest… he may very well be sentenced to time behind bars.

“I am grateful for all of my real friends. Being by myself the last few weeks -0 I take all experiences as lessons,” he wrote on April 26, sounding far from regretful.

“You learn who really cares about you when your [sic] down and out and than [sic] you see who doesn’t!

“But I guess they call it the weeding process.

“Thank you to my real friends who haven’t left my side and haven’t betrayed me. #Bcofyouguysifeelblessed #Thankyouforstoppingmefromzzdrowining.”

Back in January 2019, Ronnie spent a month in rehab to get control of his addiction to alcohol, as well as depression.

“I was at a place where I didn’t know how to control my life anymore,” he said at the time.

“My state of mind when I went in, I was very depressed, very angry. I was resentful to myself over a lot of things that I had done over the last year, or even years.

‘You look back to all of the things I have done. I’m not really proud of a lot of stuff.”

In this case, though?

A source has told E! News Ortiz-Magro will seek treatment at a “wellness center,” specifying the facility is “not a drug- or alcohol-related type of rehab center.”

Hey, whatever, works?

We just hope Ronnie gets the help he very clearly needs.
