Tamera Mowry Announces She’s Off ‘The View’ After 7 Years In Emotional Letter

After 7 years as a co-host of the show, Tamera Mowry took to social media to announce her decision to leave The View. It was definitely a very emotional announcement, only adding to her pain of losing her god friend, actress Naya Rivera.

In fact, earlier today, Tamera Mowry posted a very heartbreaking tribute to the former Glee actress who lost her life due to drowning in a lake.

Also on the same day, she went on to reveal that she will no longer appear on The Real, after no less than 7 years as one of the co-hosts.

With that being said, it must have been a really emotionally draining day for Tamera Mowry.

In the caption of her announcement she acknowledged the unfortunate timing, saying that: ‘I had NO intention to talk about this today, especially in light of the news of my dear friend Naya, but now some reports are coming out and I’d rather you hear it from me first.’

This came only a couple of hours after she mourned the passing of Naya, whose body was finally found after five days of intensive searches.

Tamra Mowry did not mention whether or not he was fired or quitting The View but did mention that the exit was ‘bittersweet’ for her since if felt like her ‘home’ for so many years.

‘For seven years my home and heart has been at The Real. The friendships that I’ve made there will last a lifetime, and the people that I’ve had the blessing to interview have changed my life for the better. I’m so proud of what all the ladies and I have accomplished there, including two well-deserved NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy. However, all good things must come to an end and it’s with a bittersweet smile that I announce that I am moving on from The Real,’ she went on to write in her latter.
