Tekashi 6ix9ine And Nicki Minaj Announce Release Of New Song ‘Trollz’

As it turns out, the rumors of a new collaboration between Tekashi 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj were true all along. Hot New Hip Hop reported on a Twitter post today from Minaj in which she revealed a subtle hint that she was returning to form once again.

Moreover, the outlet says that her latest single will involve the controversial performing artist, Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was incarcerated for his involvement with the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods. The rapper was released to home confinement after he cut a deal with federal prosecutors.

His decision to tell the authorities everything they wanted to know about the Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods brought Tekashi a very bad reputation in the hip-hop industry, however, he continues to generate clout and record sales.

Regarding the new Nicki-Tekashi collab, you can see what Nicki had to say about her next move below:

As it was previously reported, Nicki Minaj and Tekashi 6ix9ine were rumored to be working together after reports revealed she had traveled to a “secret location” to film a music video with the controversial “GOOBA” artist.

The single was revealed by Nicki Minaj’s official webshop, later picked up by Hot New Hip Hop. Reportedly, Nicki and Tekashi 6ix9ine are promoting a number of products as well, including $80 puffer jackets, $70 shark pants, and $25 hot pants.

We know that the release date for the song is on Friday, the 12th of June. While the rumors have persisted for a few weeks, many people on social media might be surprised by the actual reality of their collaboration, especially considering 6ix9ine’s reputation in the rap game relative to Nicki’s.

Minaj has always been a respected member of the community, but Tekashi 6ix9ine, on the other hand, not so much. It’s unclear what this move will say for Nicki’s career, however, some social media users have argued that it was a good tactic on Minaj’s part in terms of self-promotion, especially after she and Cardi B began feuding and Minaj wound up looking somewhat bitter.

For instance, when her latest album didn’t go to number one, Minaj took to her social media to say that Travis Scott’s successful LP, Astroworld, only got to the position that it did on account of his relationship with Kylie Jenner. Fans online considered her comments as “petty” and that of a “sore-loser.”
