The Oscars 2022, forget Bob Saget in his ‘In Memoriam’

The 94th edition of the Oscar Awards has not included in its usual video to remember the people in the industry who have died one of the most outstanding comics on the scene.
This year’s Oscars have been memorable, and not exactly for the better. The gala was totally stained and overshadowed by the slap that Will Smith gave Chris Rock during the ceremony after the comedian made a joke about Jana Smith’s alopecia, the actor’s wife who did not like being the protagonist of a stunt like that. Smith, however, won Best Actor for The Williams Way anyway.
But more bad news may have to be added because the Academy forgot to include Bob Saget, an actor, and comedian, in his video for ‘In Memoriam,’ who unfortunately passed away last January after doing one of his performances. He met her at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando. At the age of 65, he lost his life and is best known for his role as Danny Tanner on the television series Full House.
William Hurt, Richard Donner, Ivan Reitman, Betty White, and Sidney Poitier are some of the names that can be read in that video. It is a real shame that the Academy has not included Bob Saget since he would certainly deserve it for his roles in comedy fiction. It is not the first time that some other “oversight” has been committed, everything is said, and it certainly will not be the last.
The Oscar gala right now has to recover from the Smith incident. However, in such a key and critical year in which various award categories have been stopped to favor the rhythm of the gala and increase the rate of spectators, it is clear that everything has turned out the other way around.
