Vanessa Williams is opening up about a possible Ugly Betty reboot!
In a new interview, the 58-year-old actress revealed if a reboot to the hit ABC comedy series is in the works.

“Unfortunately, our creator-executive producer, Silvio Horta, died last year due to suicide,” Vanessa shared with Entertainment Weekly. “So I don’t know what the status of the rights are.”
If you didn’t know, it was announced back in January 2020 that Silvio died by suicide at the age of 45.
Shortly after news of his death broke, Vanessa and other Ugly Betty stars – including America Ferrera and Michael Urie – took to social media to honor him.
Despite no plans for an Ugly Betty reboot happening right now, Vanessa said that she still keeps in touch with her former co-stars.
“We love each other, we keep in touch, but, who knows,” Vanessa said. “At the moment, not at all [possible].”
